Rex Industrial Packaging Group was established in 1946 under the name Rheem Hume (Far East) Limited and since 1986, Hong Leong Group held majority stake in the company. Today, it is a diversified group manufacturing and marketing a wide range of rigid plastic packaging products to serve both industrial and consumer packaging markets.

The Business
Rex packaging covers key markets such as personal care, household, food and beverage, lubricant and chemicals. The manufacture and sale of packaging products is generally a local business since it is not economical to transport these products over long distances.
