Henan Xinfei, founded in 1985, became a Sino-foreign joint venture company in October 1994 between Henan Xinfei Electrical Appliance (Group) Co. Ltd., Hong Leong Electric Pte Ltd and HN-Sin Electric Pte Ltd.

Domestic Business
Xinfei engages in the manufacturing and distribution of refrigerators, freezers and air-conditioners. The manufacturing facilities of Xinfei are located in Xinxiang, Henan Provice, and its products are marketed and distributeed to more than 24 provinces in China, through a network of approximately 1,100 wholesalers and dealers.

To cater to diverse customer preferences, Xinfei manufactures a broad range of refrigerators and freezers that vary in size, functionality and design. It produces more than 50 models of frost and frost-free refrigerators as well as more than 30 models of freezers. The refregerators are used primarily by households, while the freezers are used by restaurants, retail stores and other commercial establishments.

Export Sales
Apart from manufacturing products for sale within China, Xinfei also manufactures refrigerators on an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) basis for export. The experience gained from supplying customers such as General Electric has assisted Xinfei in its efforts to penetrate markets overseas, ensuring that it is able to conform to international best practices in manufacturing and quality control.

Research & Development
Xinfei has licensed technology from Philips Electronics N.V. for the manufacture of refrigerators from 1985 to 1992, and has also developed its own technology through internal research and development.

The company’s R&D team consists of more than 100 employees. In order to rapidly introduce into the market place, up-to-date refrigerators and freezers, which meet the needs of consumers, computer-aided design and solid modelling is used extensively in the design process.

The team also tracks changes in consumer preferences, competitors’ models and foreign brands so as to remain competitive.

Quality Assurance
Xinfei is accredited with ISO 9001 for its quality management system and has also earned ISO 14001 accreditation for its environmental management system.
