Karimun Granite's quarry is
one of the largest in Southeast Asia and is also the
largest producer of Marine Rocks/Armouring Stone in
this region.
On 5th April, 1972, P.T. Karimun
Granite shipped their first load of Granite Aggregate
to Singapore. Today, with over one hundred and twenty-five
million tonnes of granite shipments behind them, P.T.
Karimun Granite and its fully owned subsidiary, Karimun
Granite (Singapore) Pte Ltd, with the full support and
the resources of the Hong Leong Group behind them, are
ready to meet the future needs of Singapore, Indonesia,
Malaysia and beyond as South East Asia moves through
the new millennium.
With a mining concession given
to P.T. Karimun Granite under a special Contract of
Works with the Government of the Republic of Indonesia,
total granite reserves are virtually unlimited and present
developed clean granite reserves are in excess of one
hundred million tones sufficient for the next fifteen
years at present rates of production.
A full range of aggregates and
rock products are offered ranging from high quality
Manufactured Sand, Concrete and Asphaltic Aggregates,
Road Bases, Marine Rip Rap and Armour Rocks to a maximum
size of ten tones.
All products are produced under
stringent quality control either to ASTM, BS, JIS, SS
or the clients particular standards or requirements.
With such a long experience
of having supplied granite rock and aggregate to so
many major projects in South East Asia. reliability
is what truly puts Karimun Granite in a class of its
own.
