The Group has held the exclusive distributorship of the Onoda brand of Ordinary Portland Cement since 1956. Associated company Singapore Cement Manufacturing Company (a joint venture with Taiheiyo Cement of Japan), imports, stores and packs the quality product while Hong Leong Asia is the sole distributor in Singapore. The cement is sold mainly in bulk to customers such as the HDB, ready-mix concrete companies, precast concrete companies including Hong Leong Asia Ready Mix susidiaries. Cement is also packed into bags for sale to contractors and wholesalers.
